PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL HURUF HIJAIYAHMELALUI MEDIA SANDPAPPER LATTER ANAK USAIA 5-6 TAHUNDI TPQ DARUL MUTTAQIN

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of children's ability to recognize hijaiyah letters, distinguish hijaiyah letters and have not been able to pronounce hijaiyah letters correctly. This study aims to explain efforts to improve the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters in children aged 5-6 years by using sandpaper latter media at TPQ Darul Muttaqin. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). This research consists of two cycles, which consist of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are 16 children aged 5-6 years. The results of research and assessment in this CAR show that there is an increase in the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters in children aged 5-6 years by using sandpaper latter media, namely: it is proven that in the pre-cycle it is only 25%, increasing in cycle 1 to 75%, until in cycle 2 it reaches a maximum increase of 87.5%. In addition, teachers' efforts to introduce the Hijaiyah alphabet to children aged 5-6 at the Darul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School (TPQ) include guided recitation of the Hijaiyah letters using sandpaper letters. Furthermore, teachers introduce the Hijaiyah letters by writing several letters on the whiteboard.
