Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in Borneo Engineering: Jurnal Teknik Sipil. The authors remain the copyright holders of their work and are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not infringe upon the copyright or other legal rights of third parties.

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors confirm that they have the authority to submit the work for publication and that all co-authors have agreed to the submission.

Publication Rights

Upon acceptance and publication, authors grant Borneo Engineering: Jurnal Teknik Sipil the right of first publication. This arrangement allows the journal to publish, distribute, archive, and make the article available to the public through its website and other appropriate scholarly dissemination platforms.

The publication rights granted to the journal do not transfer copyright ownership from the authors to the journal.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce third-party materials, including figures, tables, photographs, maps, illustrations, and other copyrighted content, whenever such permission is required. All third-party materials must be appropriately acknowledged and cited.

Authors must also ensure that the information concerning copyright ownership and any applicable permissions is accurate and complete at the time of submission.

Copyright and Open Access

Borneo Engineering: Jurnal Teknik Sipil supports open access publishing and allows published articles to be shared and reused under the terms of the journal's applicable licensing policy.

The copyright status of an article is separate from the license governing its use. Copyright ownership remains with the authors, while the applicable license specifies the permissions and conditions under which others may access, share, distribute, and adapt the published work.
