Mathematics Education and Application Journal (META) is a scientific journal published by the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Borneo Tarakan since 2019. META focuses on research and studies in the field of mathematics education. The scope of the Mathematics Education and Application Journal (META) includes Ethnomathematics; Mathematics Learning Media; Mathematics Learning Evaluation; Mathematics Education, particularly in remote and border areas; Mathematical Ability; and STEAM. From Volume 5, Issue 2, 2023, to Volume 10, Issue 1, 2028, META journal has been accredited with Sinta 3.

Mathematics Education and Application Journal (META) was first published in July 2019, with the name Vol. 1 No. 1, 2019. There was a change in the template used by META in 2022, which has been in use since the publication of Vol. 5 No. 1 in 2023. META template was changed due to the addition of more informative content regarding writing rules and article content.
