This study examines the associations of perceived wage adequacy and work experience with self-reported productivity among female workers in household-scale tempe businesses in Karang Anyar, Tarakan, both individually and jointly. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted among 56 female workers from 14 purposively selected tofu and tempe business units. A census approach was used at the worker level. Data were collected through a four-point Likert questionnaire, complemented by interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 29. The findings suggest that wage adequacy and accumulated work experience are important correlates of female workers’ self-reported productivity in the studied household-scale tempe industry. Because the study is cross-sectional and all three constructs were measured through respondent perceptions, the findings should be interpreted as associations rather than definitive causal effects. The study contributes localized evidence on women’s labor productivity in a micro-scale food-processing industry in North Kalimantan.
