Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru dalam Pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 13 Tarakan

Abstract

Pedagogical competence refers to teachers’ ability to manage student learning through educative approaches, enabling them to perform their professional roles more effectively. This studi aims to analyze the pedagogical competence of science teachers at SMP Negeri 13 Tarakan. A qualitative method with a descriptive design was employed. The research instruments consisted of interview guidelines and a learning document checklist. Data analysis followed the miles and Huberman model, which comprises data collection, data validity was ensured through technical triangulation. The findings indicate that both teachers demonstrated sound pedagogical competence in conducting the learning process. This competence was reflected in three aspects: lesson planning, lesson implementation, and learning assessment. In the planning stage, the teachers encountered several constraint, particularly the limited availability of school facilities and infrastructure. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the school provide adequate facilities and insfrastructure to support the effective implementation of the learning process.
