Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

Writing procedures include journal size, typeface, line spacing, margins, filling in spaces, new paragraphs, beginning of sentences, itemization, numbering and layout, tables, figures, and equations.

Journal Size

Manuscripts are made in A4 (297 x 210 mm) paper size format.

Typeface

The typeface that can be used for journal writing is Times New Roman size 12.

Numbers and units
Numbers are typed with, unless they are found at the beginning of a sentence, then the number must still be spelled out. Example “bought 10 kg of materials ......”
Units are expressed with official abbreviations without full stops. Example: “every 1 km visibility there is a big tree on the side of the road”
Line spacing

In journal writing, the line spacing is 1.15 spaces. Direct quotations, table titles, figure titles, notations, and bibliographies are typed 1 space apart.

Borderline

The typing boundaries in terms of paper edges are set as follows:

Top edge: 3 cm
Bottom edge: 3 cm
Left edge: 4 cm
Right edge: 3 cm
Space Filling

The space contained on the manuscript page must be fully filled. This means that typing should start from the left edge to the right edge so that no space is wasted. Unless you are starting a new paragraph, including table equations, figures, sub-chapter headings, and other things.

New paragraph

A new paragraph immediately below a chapter, sub-chapter or sub-sub-chapter heading is left justified. The next new paragraph is written indented at the 5th type from the left margin. If you are using software, you can automatically use the software tabs.

Sentence Start

Sentences begin with a capital letter. Numbers, symbols, or chemical formulas that begin a sentence must be spelled out with letters. Example “twelve cats....”

Details

If the journal entry has details that must be organized downward, use sequential numbers with numbers or letters according to the level of detail. The use of bullets such as (-) or other notations is not allowed.

Numbering and layout

This section is divided into page numbering, tables, figures, and equations.

Tables

Tables are numbered with numbers along with an explanation of the table title. The numbering system is made in duplicate, namely the chapter number followed by a full stop and the table number. Example: Table 1.1, 2.1, and so on (examples of table numbering are described in Appendix 1).

Images

Figures (including charts, graphs, photographs, and maps) are numbered with numbers along with an explanation of the title of the figure. The figure numbering system is the same as the table numbering. (an example of figure numbering is explained in Appendix 2)

Equation

Sequence numbers of equations in the form of formulas and so on are written on the right margin like the following example:

∞ f(x) = a0 + ∑ (an cosn=1nπX + b sinLnπX) (1)L

Bibliography

Arranged and sorted by citation. Writing literature; Author's name (without title). year of title. publisher, city. Citations are written by giving the year number in which they appear in the literature review.
