PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN DAN KESADARAN MENGENAI PENTINGNYA ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI (APD) DALAM PENERAPAN KEAMANAN PANGAN PADA UMKM DESA SEGORO TAMBAK KABUPATEN SIDOARJO

Abstract

Food Safety is a condition and effort required to prevent food from the possibility of three contaminants, namely biological, chemical and other contaminants that can interfere with, harm and endanger human health. This socialization aims to increase knowledge and awareness of personal protective equipment (PPE) in MSMEs in Segoro Tambak Village, Sidoarjo, East Java. The method used is socialization along with how to apply it, conducting pre-tests and post-tests, then the last stage is direct application to MSMEs. Socialization is carried out using power point media, as well as testing knowledge before and after socialization. The results of the community service showed a significant increase, with an average pre-test value of 78.85 and a post-test of 92.31, with an increase of 17 percent. The conclusion of this community service is that socialization is effective in increasing knowledge and awareness of the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in an MSME.
