This study aims to analyze the influence of training effectiveness and the quality of extension services on farmers’ productivity and their contribution to achieving food self-sufficiency. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of trained farmers, and data were analyzed through Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that effective training and high-quality extension services play an essential role in improving farmers’ productivity. Furthermore, productivity significantly contributes to enhancing regional food self-sufficiency performance. These results suggest that capacity-building interventions, including structured training programs and responsive extension services, are crucial in strengthening local food security. Overall, the study highlights the importance of reinforcing extension systems and farmer empowerment strategies to support sustainable progress toward food self-sufficiency.
